Rachel Diaz, M.S.W., E.A.M.P., received a master’s degree in social work from the University of Washington (1978) and her acupuncture degree from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (1990). She served as the acupuncture program manager at Evergreen Treatment Services from 1992 to 2008.  Currently she is doing private practice acupuncture, as well as working with previously homeless substance abusers in downtown Seattle.  Rachel teaches the public health and chemical dependency course.
