SIOM is currently accepting applications for the classes entering in September 2010. We encourage you to visit the school, take a tour, sit in on classes, and get a treatment in the teaching clinic in order to become more familiar with our programs. The Admissions ProcessSIOM begins accepting applications for admission beginning in December for entry into the programs the following September. Applicants with plans to complete some prerequisites prior to the fall start date may be accepted on a contingency basis. The upcoming scheduled dates for interviews are as follows: June 7, 2010Interview spots are on a space available basis. To be considered for a particular date you must have a complete application turned in at least two weeks before the interview date. Early application is recommended. Decisions regarding acceptance are made within two weeks after the interview. Applicants are accepted until the class is full. Some applicants may be placed on a wait-list basis. Candidates for admission must demonstrate maturity, academic ability and sincerity to enter the field of Oriental medicine. ADMISSION POLICIESEnglish Language Requirement: All classes are taught in English. If the admissions committee has any concerns regarding the applicant's written and/or verbal fluency, the applicant will be required to score at least 500 on the PBT or 173 on the CPT of the TOEFL exam. The applicant may also be asked to take the Test for Spoken English (TSE). |
